Project management and creative direction for Jordan Casteel’s first comprehensive monograph, the 100th title in Phaidon’s Contemporary Artists Series.

I served as the primary liaison between the artist, Phaidon’s editorial team, and Casey Kaplan Gallery, coordinating image and text feedback through each layout and proofing stage to ensure a thoughtful and accurate portrait of her practice within the canon of Black figurative and landscape painting. My role included full project oversight on behalf of the artist and gallery, along with subsequent programming support, promotional planning, and development of related assets.

Scope of work included acting as communications lead as well as the development of sections and design of the Artist’s Writings section, including concept development, layout proposals, mockups, final deliverables,and image selections.
